Common questions
How do I mount my surfboard on the wall?
BOTL surfboard mounts must be mounted to a load-bearing wall made of brick, stone or concrete, using the included fixings.
Step-by-step instructions can be found on our instructions page.
What wall types can I mount my BOTL surfboard on?
Our surfboard mounts should only be fixed to load-bearing walls made of brick, concrete or stone. They are not suitable for plasterboard, hollow walls or stud walls without additional reinforcement. If you are unsure about your wall type, we recommend consulting a professional.
What tools do I need to mount my surfboard?
To install a BOTL Amsterdam surfboard mount you will need: a power drill with a concrete drill bit (8 mm or 10 mm), a spirit level, a screwdriver, a pen or pencil, and a multi-purpose digital detector to locate any electric cables or water pipes behind the wall.
How far apart should I position the mounts on the wall?
This depends on the length of your board. Choose where on the board you'd like the mounts to sit, then mark those positions on the wall.
